2nd Black belt Prep class + Belt Presentation

We started class with a long warm up. We started with 10 jumping jacks for each candidate (70 in total). Five each for pushups, sit-ups, and squats. Shortly afterwards we did the Escape, Contain, and Destroy. I was able to complete the slap, push, and tackle with Mason and Mackenzie.

What the 2nd prep class main goal was to practice ‘Empi’ and other katas. We were trying to stay together and keep up intensity (even though we are tired).

15 minutes before Belt presentation began I was able to help Blake and Genna with practicing their requirements for what they have to for their presentation. When the presentation started I watched everyone preforming their katas and their requirements. Near the end of the presentation, all seven candidates got up and performed ‘Empi’. While performing I could feel that we were very synchronized and we have very high intensity. Afterwards we sat back down and I listened as Shihan made the closing remarks.

Daily requirements: I read a book for 20 minutes each day. As I said in my previous post I find myself going beyond the 20 minute mark as I found the book very interesting.

Weekly Requirement: I did 1 set of 25 for 4 days a week.
