My Karate for Kids Troy Classes are Designed to Build Confidence, Leadership Skills,
and Self-Defense. Your Child Will Love It!
Martial arts classes normally makes you think of self-defense, being strong, fit and safe.
The truth is, it’s all that and WAY more! My kids karate classes improve their lives!
My martial arts classes help kids in Troy, Michigan to have a strong focus on goal setting and achieving your goals by working hard. Martial Arts is an excellent way to increase flexibility, balance, and coordination. Your child will get stronger physically and emotionally, while they learn self-discipline. This leads to increased mental strength which can help them excel at school! They will learn to make good choices and to tackle challenges they face instead of avoiding them - or worse, running away from them.
My kids karate classes have a strong focus on goal setting and achieving your goals by working hard. Children will learn to set specific goals for themselves and break the big picture down into small steps that lead towards their goal. Their self-esteem will increase as they begin to reach their goals and learn the "Yes! I Can" Attitude. Mental toughness is a key ingredient to living a happy and successful life, and that is why it is the main focus of my program.
Martial arts is also a great way to improve your child's focus and concentration.
Training in my kids karate classes will help them with the following:
• Concentration
• Focusing on one task at a time
• Completing tasks fully before moving on
* Boost School Performance!
Think about how much calmer and more focused your Troy child would be if they could handle stress better. In my martial arts classes, children learn to work hard and develop patience with themselves as they grow physically and mentally stronger. These are important life skills for day-to-day activities as well as academic success.
Problem-solving is one of the most useful skills that your child will learn in my program. They build this skill by learning how to communicate with others, how to reach their goals, and by figuring out how to do something they have never done before.
Kids develop self-discipline and character when they face challenges and work to overcome them. Martial arts classes fill children with a sense of accomplishment and pride as they enjoy seeing their own progress and improvements through each class.
My program also helps kids increase their levels of confidence almost immediately - especially if they feel down about school or other activities where they struggle. Training in martial arts gives kids an incredible boost in self-confidence because it shows that you can achieve anything you set your mind to.
Teachers report that children in my Martial Arts program have improved concentration, better grades, more confidence, and are less fidgety. I would love for your child to get started learning the benefits of my program as soon as possible - contact me today!
Our daughter joined Prestige Martial Arts in September. At first she didn't want to join, but now she loves it. ❤️ Denny and Kristy are both amazing. They are always helpful and are amazing with the students.
Shihan makes the class engaging and fun which is a huge bonus and we believe that is why our daughter loves it so much. Our daughter's self confidence has grown within the first few sessions. We highly recommend. 😊

My Daughter has been attending class with Shihan for four years. She has transformed from a shy, quiet, unsure of herself girl to a strong, confident, expressive ninja who stands up in class to profess her skills and is always the first to raise her hand with the loudest voice. The skills and lessons have been invaluable. This isn't your run of the mill karate class. Not everyone gets a trophy, they have to earn their awards through hard work and effort. Shihan has their best interest at heart and makes them improve with proper discipline.

It's been an amazing experience joining PMA Troy. My 4.5 yo has shown what patience, kindness and focus can be in kids. I have heard from his preschool teacher that she is setting him as an example for their entire class. Excited and looking ahead what else is going to unfold in this journey.

Discipline is to obey what is right. Your child will learn the importance of structure and rules, and then will learn how to monitor themselves and develop the self-discipline to be a great leader.

Respect - It is not what you know, it is what you do. Your child will show respect and not just talk about it.
Self-Esteem is the joy of being myself. Your child will learn that we are all different and it is ok to celebrate who they are.
Belief is having a YES! I CAN Attitude. Your child will learn how to overcome obstacles and roadblocks and reach the
goals they set.

The Little Dragons and Kids Karate Classes are 30 minutes packed full of energy and learning. Leadership Training adds another layer to the learning and is 45 minutes.
Are Classes In-Person or Virtual?
I offer both in-person and virtual classes for students convenience. You are welcome to attend class either way and a lot of students do both. Classes are also recorded so if you miss a week, you are able to watch them at a time that is convenient for you.

Loose fitting, comfortable clothing is best for class. Students do keep their shoes on for class so sneakers are best. Do not wear flip flops, sandals or slip on shoes as they will not stay on during exercises and such.
